yuilop is an innovative, international startup based in Barcelona that offers its users a mobile app based service, with the objective to provide free (mobile) communication to everybody.

Job title: Principal/Senior VoIP Engineer

yuilop is looking for a Principal/Senior (Mobile) VoIP Engineer to support yuilop’s team of developers and engineers in the design, development and delivery of the yuilop VoIP service and to drive the business and service innovation forward from a VoIP technology perspective. The position is reporting directly to the CTO of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with CTO and mobile application development teams
- Design, develops and deploy VoIP network, server and system architecture
- Develop applications and modules to support consumer services and business processes
- Discover, analyze and select technologies that best fit the yuilop service and business from a technological and a business perspective

Core Skills and Previous Experience:

- More than 5 years prior experience and proven successes in the VoIP area
- Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science or Communications related area
- Very good communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Successful in fast paced and quick changing environments
- Technical expertise in VoIP and mobile communication technologies, system and network architecture and application development

• Experience with VoIP server architectures, development and deployments leveraging open source technology, e.g. Freeswitch, OpenSer, Kamailio, Openfire, Ejabbered, OpenSips, SEMS or Asterisk
• Extensive design and development experience with technologies like SIP, VoIP, SIMPLE IM and rich presence, OMA SIMPLE/XDM, OMA SIMPLE/XDM, SDP, XMPP/Jingle, RTP, RTCP, SRTP, XCAP, SMPP, SMTP, NAT (TURN/STUN), ICE, ActiveMQ, TCP/IP, IPv6 and)
• Knowledge and experience with deployment of VoIP codecs like G.729, G.279, Speex, AMR over mobile networks 3G/Wifi and interconnection via SIP trunking
• Development of applications using php, C, Twisted, Python, Erlang
• Experience with real-time rating, billing, CDR management systems
• Experience with network protocol optimization and operations for dual-stack (IPv4,v6), DNS, DHCP, ICMP, and adaption of VoIP protocol stacks.

- Designed and implemented scalable and high-availability system environments
- Language skills: fluent English oral and written, oral Spanish skills preferred
