Data Protection at yuilop
Protecting the personal data of our users is of particular importance to us. We rule under a full disclosure policy of our practices concerning your personal data. The following information is therefore intended to explain the situation concerning the scope of storage and use of your data.
Yuilop S.L. under the laws of Spain, having their registered office at C/ París Nº 270 3º 1ª 08008 Barcelona, Spain is the legal entity that collects and processes the personal information.
What is personal data or inventory data?
Personal data or inventory data is understood as meaning information that can be assigned to your person. This includes for example: your name, your address, your telephone number and/or e-mail address.
Which terms of privacy do apply for yuilop?
yuilop is a Spanish company and therefore has to follow the Spanish and European provision of privacy and data protection. In compliance with the law we have filed the personal data files before the Spanish National Data Protection Authority (This just consist on a declaration not the personal data itself). Furthermore we take care that your private data is only stored with certified hosting and IT providers that as well have to follow corresponding data protection regulations and to implement strict security measures.
Which terms of privacy do apply for yuilop?
When you install yuilop you will be asked to provide us with your phone number and to allow us access to your mobile device’s address book. A first check is made in your phone contact list in order to indicate which of your contacts is already a yuilop user. Afterwards we check your agenda (up and down in our systems but never stored) to notify you when your contacts become active on yuilop.
Your phone number, which will be verified via a text message that will be sent to you, will be used for identification purposes as your yuilop user ID.
Should you upgrade your Lite version of yuilop to Plus version, we will ask you for mandatory further data. We have to collect that data to comply with the telecom regulations concerning lawful interception and data conservation. Depending on the regulation of your country we may require your name, surname, ID number, nationality and/or address or others. We will share those data only when legally required by the Authorities (Police, Governmental bodies or the like) in compliance with the Law of that country. Be also informed that in order to comply with legal requirements we might gather also your IP address that will be use by yuilop exclusively in case the applicable Authorities requires it.
You declare that the data you provide us with is real, true, updated and verifiable.
We may send you information notifications about the service via yuilop application (In-app notices). For the avoidance of doubt no personal data will be used to send you such notice since it’s not made by email or SMS and will be mainly focus to inform you about upgrades, new features, troubleshooting problems, inactivity or low usage, detecting and protecting you against errors or in general to fulfil the contract.
We might use your personal data to send you warning notifications in order to enforce you to comply with the applicable terms & conditions.
The service is not directed to children under the age of fourteen and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of fourteen. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personally identifiable information from a user under the age of fourteen, we will delete such information from our records. If we change our practices in the future, we will obtain prior, verifiable parental consent before collecting any personally identifiable information from children under the age of fourteen.
We will not use traffic data (data processed for the purpose of the conveyance of communications, including, but not limited to, the duration of the call, the number calling and the number called) for commercial purposes without your consent. We will never share your traffic data with any third party.
In what scope is my data used?
Use of your data for the purpose of promoting services and products of our advertising partners is exclusively within the scope of any consent issued by you. Your data is not forwarded to our advertising partners. Our advertising partners merely provide the advertising content: We forward the advertising content to you. Apart from this, your data will be used for executing the contract and processing your enquiries to us: For instance, we may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable and / or statistic data with our advertising partners for the sole purpose of executing the contract with them (conciliation mainly). Such data may include user mobile telephone unique ID, device model used and the advertising profile that may include: age, city, gender and interests se we can forward you personally customised advertising as defined in point 8.
If you have the Lite version installed when you send an SMS your usual mobile number will be shown in the recipient number as sender. In case you upgrade to Plus service your yuilop number will be shown as sender.
yuilop will retain your information for as long as is necessary to: (1) fulfil the contract or (2) comply with applicable legislation, regulatory requests and relevant orders from competent courts.
Your instant messaging (IM) communications content will not be stored by yuilop but in your smartphone or device memory.
Will my data be forwarded to third parties?
Your data will NOT be forwarded to third parties for their free use. If we forward data to third parties within the scope of the existing contractual relation or if these third parties store or process your data on our behalf (e.g. external service providers such as our IT system hosting), we oblige these to comply with the applicable data protection provisions. Our service providers are bound strictly by our instructions and are required to use the data exclusively for the purpose prescribed by us.
In the event that we go through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, Personal Information will likely be among the assets transferred. As part of such a transaction the new entity will be required to commit to the same level of protection of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. If we cannot obtain such a commitment, we will not perform the business transition.
We will post a notice on this Site of any such change in ownership or control of the Personal Information we may have prior to such transfer.
What security precautions exist when storing or transmitting my data?
Your data will be stored in secure operating environments and cannot be accessed by the public. In certain cases of particular security relevance (for example when stating a password) the data will be encrypted prior to performance of the transaction. Our servers use the VPN (Virtual Private Network) encryption technology (IPSec encryption) to protect the transmission of personal data. This means that communication between you and our servers is carried out using a recognised encryption procedure.
What does personally customised advertising mean?
You can create a personal user profile within the scope of our service. In addition, your inventory data can be combined with your so-called location data if you have given your explicit consent to this. Location data is data which indicates the geographic location from which the end device is used. This data is not determined for the precise location (“precise address”) of the end device. Rather, all that is determined is a radius from which it is possible to recognise for example the town in which you are currently located The determination of a location is carried out exclusively in real time, i.e. at the time of the sending of advertising information. This type of location data is not stored except a storage is provided by law.
The inventory and location data is evaluated with the aim of comparing the resulting user profile with the product and service offers of our advertising partners. Subsequently, we can forward you personally customised advertising. You will not receive advertising that does not correspond to your interests.
Do I have a right to amendment or deletion of my data?
You have the right to revoke any consent, granted to us for the collection, storage and use of your data for the sending of advertising information, at any time. Nevertheless, as the yuilop service can only be financed via advertising partners, we ask you to appreciate that complete revocation of your consent will result in the ending of use of our service. The revocation shall apply for the future and cannot be declared retrospectively. In the event of revocation on your part, we shall delete your data as quickly as possible, unless we are obliged by law to store this data.
Do I have a right to information concerning which data yuilop has stored on me?
Under the data protection provisions you have an entitlement to information at any time on which data we store on you. Kindly address your enquiries to privacy@yuilop.com.

Changes in this policy
yuilop reserves the right to modify the provisions of this Privacy Policy if deemed necessary. We will inform you of these changes by publishing the revised Privacy Policy at yuilop.com notifying you via in-app messages and/or SMS. The revised Privacy Policy shall become effective within thirty (30) days of such publishing, unless you expressly accept the revised Policy earlier. You agree that the express acceptance by you, or your continued use of yuilop after the notice period of thirty (30) days will constitute your acceptance of the Privacy Policy.
