Christmas Tree Day

Posted on December 7, 2020 — 11:45 pm

The Christmas Tree Day comes from Catholicism. This date was chosen to coincide with the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8th. According to the history, the first Christmas Tree was introduced in Germany in 1605.

The trees was traditionally decorated with fruits like apples or nuts. In the 18th century was included the light with candles and after the arrival of the electricity, people started using Christmas lights. Furthermore the fruits were substituted by candy canes and traditional ornaments like angels and trumpets. The star on top is related with the Star of Bethlehem.

Now, in 2013, we want to give you some ideas for your Christmas Tree. If you are a Star Wars fan or just want to have a funny tree we’ve found this accessories:

Star Wars Boba Fett Helmet Light Set: Include the bounty hunter into your Christmas Tree. He is gonna look amazing hanging there (and your tree too). You can find this set in Amazon for $25.

Star Wars C-3PO Waterball Ornament: The waterball is 1 ⅓ inch and features our golden friend C-3PO inside. You’ll have two cool things: the face of this nice android and if you shake it you will see him get snowed on. Find it in Amazon for $12.50.

Circuit Board Christmas Tree Decoration:  All these accessories can be made out of old CDs and  circuit boards. You just need to find a pattern to follow: canes, stars, snowman, and cut it. You’ll definitely have the geekiest tree ever.

Pizza String Lights: If you are a pizza lover don’t forget your favorite food while you celebrate  Christmas. Topped with pepperoni, cheese, peppers and mushrooms, these slices are the tasty accessory ever made (but don’t try it to eat it). Find it in ModCloth for $30.

Big Bang Theory Holiday Ornament: If you are a Big Bang Theory fan, you can have your favorite TV show even in your Christmas Tree. These ornaments are made of high-impact polystyrene… Instead of “Merry Christmas” say “Bazinga!”. Buy it for $3 in Think Geek.
