The Christmas Tree Day comes from Catholicism. This date was chosen to coincide with the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8th. According to the history, the first Christmas Tree was introduced in Germany in 1605.
The trees was traditionally decorated with fruits like apples or nuts. In the 18th century was included the light with candles and after the arrival of the electricity, people started using Christmas lights. Furthermore the fruits were substituted by candy canes and traditional ornaments like angels and trumpets. The star on top is related with the Star of Bethlehem.
