BARCELONA—July 17, 2013— yuilop today officially launched its cloud-based global communications app version 1.9 for iOS and Android users. Accessed by over 5 million users, and currently available in 200+ countries, yuilop makes calling and texting free to any contact, anywhere in the world. With the new version, yuilop delivers more user-friendly design and navigation and further Facebook integration. For iOS, yuilop also introduces the option to purchase credit packs.
yuilop allows its users to make calls and send texts to any device and any number over WiFi or 3G/4G/LTE. yuilop also features free messaging with group chat, emoji and location sharing. Communication between yuilop users is free and unlimited. Different from other calling and messaging apps, yuilop continues to be free even off network, with contacts who don’t have the app, thanks to a virtual credit system that rewards users with free credits they can use to make calls and SMS without paying cash. Users are gifted credits for various activities including inviting other users, using the app for chats, watching ads or downloading promotions on the yuilop offer wall. In countries where users have the option to receive a yuilop number, called yuilop.me - including Germany, Spain, the U.S. and soon the U.K. - credits can also be earned for receiving a call or SMS, and fewer or no credits are required for outbound activities.
