Although it might not be cold enough in your city to see it, there are two applications we recommend you to add some “whiteness” to your smartphone.
The first is Christmas Snow Ball 2.0 with which you can watch the snowfall by shaking the phone, it is the typical balls we were playing with, spending a lot of time since childhood. A Christmas song will accompany you while watching snowflakes falling slowly on the screen. Available for Android.
With Snow Live Wallpaper you can download a great wallpaper of pine trees in a snowy forest. Perfect for this time of year in your smartphone or tablet. Download it on Google Play.

December 15 - More fun facts about Christmas
Today we are going to talk about Santa, the most famous character of this cold period.
- Santa Claus comes from a Dutch folk tale based on Saint Nicholas, or Sinterklaas, who gave gifts on December 6.
- Santa has different names around the world - Kriss Kringle in Germany, Pere Noel in France and Deushka Moroz (Grandfather Frost) in Russia.
- Most of Santa’s reindeer have male-sounding names, such as Blitzer, Comet, and Cupid. However, male reindeers shed their antlers around Christmas, so the reindeer pulling Santa’s sleigh are likely not male, but female.
- There are 13 Santas in Iceland, each leaving a gift for children. They come down from the mountain one by one, starting on December 12 and have names like Spoon Licker, Door Sniffer and Meat Hook.
- US scientists calculated that Santa would have to visit 822 homes a second to deliver all the world’s presents on Christmas Eve, travelling at 650 miles a second.

December 14 - Low cost Barcelona
Yuilopers, at Christmas time, in many cities you can take advantage of free activities typical of this time of the year.
If you visit or live in Barcelona you can not miss the Fira de Santa Lucia, a small market that is organized in front of the Santa Lucia Cathedral, where you can buy figurines in the manger.Near this market in Plaza Sant Jaume, you can see a creative manger that is a piece of art and it is different each year.
Caga tió ”shitting log” is a character in Catalan mythology relating to a Christmas tradition widespread in Catalonia. From 8th December people give the Tió a little bit to “eat” every night and usually covers him with a little blanket so that he will not feel cold at night, on Christmas day he “drops” candies, nuts and torrons for kids. The origins of this tradition comes from the importance of fertilizer for agriculture in this area of Spain, for this reason the Tió produces gifts in this particular way.You can buy a Cag tió (an hollow log of about thirty centimetres length) in the Fira de Santa Lucia, in Barcelona.
Apart from these very typical Christmas activities you can also listen to traditional, Christmas songs well synchronized with water pace and lights movement happening in the Magic Fountains of Montjuic on specific days and sessions this holiday season.

December 13 - What about Christmas
Christmas traditions vary and change across the world, but it’s always about celebration and sharing with those you love. Wanna find out more about it? We have an article for that
Did you know that in Poland you are supposed to serve 12 different dishes to symbolize the twelve apostles? Polish families are indeed all about replacing the birth of Christ at the center of the Christmas Celebrations.
Family Members exchange pieces of opłatek, a special Christams bread, between each other with wishes of good luck. There is always a extra empty dish on the table. Tradition has it that it is for lonely travellers that would knock on the door, looking for a shelter, and would receive hot food and a roof for the night, just as if they were a part of the family.
In ancient Rome, people used decorative wreaths as a sign of victory, some believe that this is where the hanging of wreaths on doors came from. Wreaths have much history and symbolism associated with them, they are usually made from evergreens and symbolize strength, as evergreens last even throughout the harshest winters.
In Japan, things get a little bit more casual. Following a successful add campaign in the 1970s, eating at KFC for Christmas night has become quite the trend. In fact, you even have to make a reservation to be able to enjoy your chicken wings while listening to christmas songs.
